Systolic Blood Pressure

When the heart contracts and a heartbeat occurs due to contraction, at each heartbeat the blood leaves the heart and spreads throughout the body through the blood vessels and arteries. This is the same pressure under which the blood circulates in the arteries.

This  blood pressure is called Systolic Blood Pressure 

Diastolic Blood Pressure 

And when the heart fills with blood to cope with the contraction phase, the pressure drops. This is called diastolic pressure.

How can we control the Blood Pressure Level?

  • Special medicines are prescribed to control blood pressure. Similarly, patients with high blood pressure also take several home remedies to keep their blood pressure parallel. For example, in high blood pressure, it is useful to eat apples.

  • Regularly drinking lemon juice mixed with water helps in controlling blood pressure.

  • To prevent blood pressure from decreasing or increasing, it is important to increase exercise and a balanced diet daily
